Modern Day Good Samaritan

This poem was inspired by an RE lesson about the Good Samaritan.

There was a man

He was driving down the town

When came a big white van

Came and knocked him down

The man was hurt

He was lying in the mud

He was covered in dirt

Underneath him was a puddle of blood

A policeman walked on by

After noticing the man

Not even a hi

And got in his van

A teacher drove by

Going to work in a school

She didn’t even stop

She acted like a fool

On came a homeless lad

That walked over to the man

He was worried

Can he help? Yes he can!

He picked up the man

And gave him some aid

Took him to a hotel

Then the bill he paid!
