At Ongar Primary school we aim to provide children with a happy, secure and stimulating learning experience. All that we do at Ongar Primary School is underpinned by our Three Rights: The Right to Respect, The Right to Safety and the Right to Learn. We believe that all children have the right to be respected and have the responsibility to learn how to respect others. Our school strives to reach the highest possible standard in everything we do and in doing this, support children to become confident, independent learners with a thirst to continually learn and improve.
We offer creative learning opportunities that stimulate, excite and enrich, making your child successful now and for the future. We provide real life learning experiences and offer termly opportunities for our pupils to develop their enterprise skills. Every year the school fete is organised and run by the pupils as a house competition. We strive to provide a broad and engaging curriculum which extends beyond the classroom with the view that it will encourage all our children to become confident, resilient, life-long learners.
The staff and governors at Ongar Primary School are fully committed to providing the best possible education for all our children. We value and respect each child’s background and experience so that we can develop the whole child. We place the quality of relationships as a high priority for our staff, pupils and parents and therefore, have the expectation that everyone within the learning environment will speak courteously to one another.
The staff at Ongar value your support and we look forward to working closely with you. If at any point we can be of help please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are always happy to welcome visitors to our school so that they too can experience the positive, caring and enjoyable atmosphere for themselves.
